This feature is a context based electronic glossary that helps students understand the definitions of some important words while they are working on the project. To use the feature, the student simply rolls the cursor over any colored word and after a brief pause a pop-up definition will appear.

The idea behind the feature is to provide just in time scaffolding for the meanings of terms. This user friendly tool scaffolds learners as they need definitions, verifications or explanations about a scientific concept or term.

This feature is part of a TELS project Global Climate Change: Who's to Blame? (#12700)
Students used this feature regularly to define new vocabulary terms. Teachers were pleased to see them use the new terms in their science journals used in the classroom.
