This Feature is connected to (1) Principles
  • Enable students to relate between micro and macro levels of phenomena

    Feature in Visual Map

    Description:
This features is an animation illustrating global warming and greenhouse effect which also enables students to gradually zoom into the phenomenon until the molecules composing the air can be viewed. The Zooming is pre-designed into the animation and is not controlled by learners.
The Rationale Behind the Feature (Specific Design Principle):
Zooming-in can help learners make connections the macro phenomena of global warming and greenhouse effect, and the micro level of molecules that cause the phenomenon. It shows the science behind the phenomena, which a human eye cant see without loosing the orientation of the general picture.
    Context of Use:
This feature is part of a TELS project called CSI - Chemistry Scene Investigators: Balancing Equations & Greenhouse Gases (#16096)
    Field-based Evidence:
Evidence about how this feature was accepted in class runs will be uploaded soon
